Do we think the crew with come down the steps today the old fashioned way, or are we using the fancy airport lounge thing
Not likely to change anything given they haven't up to now.

Welcome home, Atlantis.
I watched STS-1 on a black & white TV as a 10 year old kid. I watched this landing this morning on my iPad 2 through the NASA app. Things have changed so much in 30 years.
And the Space Shuttle was a huge part of it, sending up satellites and repairing them. Sending up and fixing Hubble. Sending up research missions. And finally building ISS. We have had Americans in space continuously for the last decade, and hopefully will continue to have Americans living and working in orbit for the next decade in the house that Shuttle built.
Add Kate Smith's wakeup call and the sunrise through the HUD to my "I remember" list.
Well done to the orbiters and to the people of the Space Shuttle Program!

Guys, Just Know I am holding up tears.
I was just 13 when it all started.
Thanks Chris,
you made me see it all in a degree of depth as I wished I could throughout all my youth. Now in my 40s I am so greatful for the job you and team mates have put together for us. We never got into space but with all resources you have compiled in the site makes me feel like I've been there all the time.
I wish there is a post-shuttle era reunion for the Atlantis stand opening in KSC, to have the chance to say hello and thanks to many of the folks I cannot salute today.
Great job to you all

APU shutdown complete. And with that, the shuttle has fallen silent for the last time and is now officially a part of history. I will post some of my own thoughts on today's events later on after getting some much needed sleep.
