Forty-two years ago I was awoken by my parents to watch the first landing on the moon. Today I awoke, as per her request, my 10 years old daughter to watch the last landing of a shuttle. I wonder what she will witness forty years from now.
As they said, the Shuttle program truly inspired people worldwide. Once again America did it for all mankind. Thanks for this beautiful 30 years.
And thanks to Chris and the folks behind NSF.

What so proudly we hailed for more than 30 year, by the dawn's early light, it's finaly back on the ground.
Thank you Atlantis, thank you Space Shuttle Program, for 133 wonderful missions, bringing the world to orbit, making enemies friends, constructing the human outpost in space.

And just like that, a 30-year-old human spaceflight program comes to an end. Welcome home, Atlantis.

It's over. 30 years, 100 days.
Pause a moment to remember the crews of Challenger and Columbia. With great achievement comes great sacrifice.

Beautiful.
No words, no words.

The Shuttle is over, but the gift of inspiration that you gave to me will live on. I will not falter in my pursuit of continuing your great legacy.
Atlantis, we salute you.
