Seriously, such a hard act to follow, but 133 and 134 are AMAZING!!
133 - go to four minutes into this video, turn up your music and "Get ready to feel the majesty and power of Discovery as she launches one final time" then BOOM!!!! Get knocked off your chair!

134 - epic all the way. The rollout with her previous missions tears me up every time:

Much slower pace to the "Epic ON" 133 and 134 videos, which I have to say are far superior than this one. Still great.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one with that feeling, Didn't want to be too blunt myself heh.
I find the soundtrack really sets the tone for me. The opening to the STS-134 video was hard to top.

Have to agree with both of you. Still had me feeling emotional though.

I wholeheartedly agree.
On some of the thermal views of the SSME and SRB jets, it appears that the SSME's burn a heck of a lot hotter than the SRB's.
SSME while producing heat and water, do so at 99.5% effeciency

Right, what I'm thinking is to have a standalone FD13 thread. Not much (per usual FD thread) will be going on (FCS, RCS checkouts etc. Picosat and media interviews) so to beef it up and make things properly historic I'm going to allow everyone to post a thank you message to the Shuttles and their teams.
I'll go out for a run now and have a think about how we can do this, but I think it'd be a lovely thing to have on a live FD thread where everyone gets a post, but a post which means something, before we head back into an "update only!!" live thread for FD14 EOM landing.

Anyone getting sick of the disrespect of SpaceX?
Retweeting idiots with.
"Don't know about you, but I'm super excited about space again. | Elon Musk's SpaceX breaks ground on site for new rocket "
Half of these people have five followers, so is it a set it too?
Show some respect SpaceX!

Ron Garan has a couple of photos of Atlantis on his Twitter page. Not your normal photos either - that's all the hint I'm giving

I guess these don't work on me the same way, but my first viewing was without sound. I liked the extended version of this, with the time-lapse IR of the tank being filled (more noticeable on the LH2 tank), the shots of the vehicle with the vapor cone/shock collar going into the lower cloud deck, and so on.
Perhaps a mistaken impression, but some of the cuts of the booster hold-downs firing, ignition, etc. in slow-mo, remind me of the way films of the STS-1 launch were cut.

Not enough interest, so I'll think of a better idea.
