Half about Discovery's move to the VAB, half on L2 content on the future commercial use of the OPFs:

There will be a specific article on VAB and Pad use by commercial and gov vehicles after STS-135.

Really good article. Shows how this site is transitioning by a mix of shuttle and commercial, and while I'm more a fan of the former, this was a good one to be positive about the latter.

Also like the collective term for a number of Dream Chasers.

Awesome! ;D

As I said in the other thread, another fine piece, sir.

There will be a specific article on VAB and Pad use by commercial and gov vehicles after STS-135.

Looking forward to that one.

Thanks Paul, and yes, we are absolutely going to ramp up on commercial, which is a no brainer.

I was going to go with Gaggle of Dream Chasers, but I had a bad experience with a load of geese as a kid ;) I can't imagine DC's chasing small kids and trying to bite their legs off.

The herd shot 'round the world.

sorry, someone had to say it.

Great piece.  Interesting to hear that Endeavour and Atlantis are still in a 'protected status', even if the commercial shuttle idea is a longer than long shot.

I think "flock" would work. :)

Someone should Photoshop an Orbiter followed by DCs in the manner of this picture:

Now I know some people may think this is silly, but there's a lot of transition issues - as we've seen with the many threads - and we are going to lose some people who are "Shuttle or nothing". Little things like "baby orbiters" does work, in the same way as calling an orbiter a "she" makes a difference with Joe Public.

So let's see if that can be done with the above picture. Seriously, it'll be funny, but if it gets 10 people thinking "Heh, that's cool, what's these DCs about", then it's job done!

Get on it photoshoppers!! :)

Sounds like the People in Russia that wouldn't trash the NK-33
