Has anyone been in contact with him? It would be interesting to see whether he is willing to have the site hosted elsewhere.
Thank you Delta II & ICESat-2!

even if they are not very accurate.

I hate seeing lines like this because there's no metric to measure how inaccurate they are. Astronautix was a great site because it got most of the details right.
Unless you read any of his info on spacesuits, he even got the pictures wrong for many.

The site is back.

Is the note "hosting services provided by SpaceDaily.com" new?

I don't see that note, but it is back.

Yes, the note is gone. It was below the National Geographic quote.

Still showing online here. A few links are down. Suggests they are porting over to a new server maybe?

what is it?

If you still cannot reach the site, that might be because the DNS server of your internet provider does not yet point to the new IP address of the domain.

Try to access it directly:
http://216.55.160.127/

DNS servers are updated from time to time. When there is a change in the IP address of www.astronautix.com, it may take some hours until everybody knows, while the new IP address can be accessed immediately.

Well, well, well.... be careful Chris and Mark, looks like aerospace websites are being targeted by hackers.  >:(The latest victim is Anatoly Zak's Russianspaceweb.com, which was hacked by a bunch of Bangladesh hackers (or so they proclaimed).

Clicking that russianspaceweb site now will get you a trojan if you don't have anti-virus software so the attack has progressed beyond mere site defacing ...
