The SSRMS can be moved in AUTO or MANUAL mode as the Shuttle RMS?
Yes, there are preprogrammed maneuvers, Fergi turning over camera controls to the ground.
And now they are using this preprogrammed maneuvers? How the preprogrammed maneuvers are loaded into the computer? They are uploaded from ground via datalink?

SSRMS joints moded to limp to avoid resistive forces that might work against the latches. (IIRC, this goes back to at least STS-88 and STS-74 before that.)
