Racshot is transcribing, I'll post a few soundbytes.

LeRoy Cain praising the whole engineering team down at KSC, "fantastic effort by the entire team."  Really finishing the program strong.  "Couldn't be happier about how we started this mission."

"Atlantis performing outstanding.  Crew is great, and in great spirits.  In so great spirits that they cancelled their PMC last night."

"Will get all the TPS data down tonight.  ET stills are down (and on L2 for those of you who haven't seen them!).  Should get started soon on data."

"No anomalies.  Don't have hardly anything on the trending list nor the funnies list.  Didn't have anything with them in the MMT meeting."

LeRoy Cain

Congratulations to the entire SSP team
Launch was flawless, Atlantis has been performing fantastically
Want to finish strong and this is a good beginning
Had a few items coming off 134 and the teams did a rigorous job to disposition the items
Had to work through a few issues (during launch) but the MOD did an outstanding job
Great job by the weather team

Brief MMT discussion
Crew is doing great; they cancelled the PMC last because there doing so well
Completed all the tasks in the timeline
Will have all the data on the ground when the crew are sleeping
ET digital stills are on the ground (and in L2)
No anomalies (funny or trending)
Look forward to docking tomorrow
A great start and I couldn’t be happier

Questions

Q: Timeline for the MMT to have all the imagery assessed?

A: Desire is somewhere in FD 4- 5 timeframe, anticipating we will be ahead of that. RPM imagery should be on the ground by the time we dock. Have a FI evaluation meeting early evening tomorrow.

Q: SRB retrieval status? (Philip!)

A: Boosters are in tow. Will be in port tonight, open assessment tomorrow

Q: Talk about extending the mission?

A: SSP wants to extend if possible we have more hands to do work whilst on the ISS. In really good shape right now, cryogenics have 23 hours of margin and we will get some buybacks on what we didn’t use on ascent and launch day.

Q: When would a FI be?

A: FD 6

Q: How challenging are the inspections with a 4 person crew?

A: The crew is performing quite well and staying ahead of the timeline. FD 2 is one of the most challenging days of the mission in terms of timeline. Lots to set up in terms of cameras and positioning for robotic work.

Q: How unusual is it to have such a clean flight and the crew get ahead?

A: We have been fortunate and it’s a tribute to the teams, the last few missions we’ve had outstanding performance from the orbiters and I’m not surprised. It takes a little bit of good fortune and a lot of hardwork before we go fly by the teams. We are dedicated and determined to finish strong, we want the last flight to be the safest and the team to execute at a level as high as or higher than ever before. This is a challenging mission and extremely important.

Q: Did you get the extended ET feedline camera footage?

A: We put the request to do that in late in the game but they did an outstanding job to allow us to do it. When the tank gets to rentry it is tumbling and the lighting is questionable. We have captured the data from [ Something Garsia ?]  but the quality will be questionable due to tumbling and lighting. Don’t expect to see it for a few weeks.

Q: No airborne assets capturing ET footage?

A: No

Has the chance for a Soyuz flyaround been nullified? I heard there was a tiny chance for a flyaround.

Was never on after it was carried out during 134.

Thanks for reminding me -- Mr. Cain noted something that Mr. Alibaruho also said after the status briefing in response to a followup, which was that the current 22-23 hours of margin above 12+0 was without counting the extra margin they should get by not powering the MPLM shell heaters.
