https://twitter.com/copsub/status/1188084627413635073This is what it looks like, when you start the production of the first main parachute for Spica. BJ, from @RecoveryBama has begun the laborious process of making our first ring sail parachute. We're looking so much forward to testing it!

This weekend we were visited by 3 representatives from hashtag#ArianeWorks, with nearly 100yrs of combined experience from the EU space business. AW is an innovation acceleration platform launched by ArianeGroup and CNES in 2019, dedicated to the preparation of EU's future reusable launchers, with commitment to reducing costs and accelerating development. Their main project to date is a reusable demonstrator named THEMIS.
Despite sitting through 30 different presentations over a day and a half, exploring theirs and ours developments and future visions, it was great seeing how innovation in aerospace, fast & inexpensive access to space is quickly becoming EU's priority. Meeting people responsible for accelerating this shift was a great confirmation that public, private and civil sectors have the potential to work together by sharing their own unique knowledge and experience to further their goals and development.
With a more hands-on visit underway, we invited AW to our upcoming engine test, with possibility of enrolling them in our type of field operations, which has previously resulted in up to 7 static engine burns in just 1 day. CS operates a bit outside of the box, so we hope to bring new perspectives to their decades-worth of experience through our open innovation culture.

https://twitter.com/copsub/status/1201129641903296514We're getting a water tank ready for a splash down test with our scaled model of the Spica space capsule.
The purpose of the test is to identify the best way to land with the capsule, to minimize landing impact forces

https://twitter.com/copsub/status/1208410360920842241 Getting the Scaled drop test setup ready. This setup will investigate the G-forces that the space capsule will be exposed to during a variety of landing configurations, in order to find the best way to have a soft landing with our space capsule.
