First burn from the May 31st BPM5 static test
Published on Jun 2, 2015
Due to an error on the main valves the engine never transitions to a full main stage mode. It is however interesting to see how the copper vane burns away and the graphite vane lights up!

After qualification burn of BPM-5 Sn.3 they noticed a small amount of damage (a scratch) in the throat of the engine, they are currently testing to see if the damage is superficial or not to the ability to fly the engine.

Testing is still ongoing on BPM-5 Sn.3, however they are looking into flying BPM-5 Sn.2 on Nexo I this year instead of the Sn.3 motor due to the defect that they found.

Rocket launch coming up! We have booked the
last two weekends of August (2015) and the first two weekends of September as our launch window for the Nexø I rocket. Once ready, and the weather forecast is okay, we'll launch. Typically we launch early in the day, CEST, and our activity will be broadcast live on our youtube channel

UPDATELooking for more funds.....
Progress report on the rocket:
All available hands are working on getting the rocket ready. We're also doing the final touches on our launch platform and support ship. So it's a very busy time in HAB.
Monday evening both the fuel and LOX tanks have been pressure tested and passed. Work on the cable tree for the rocket is also progressing great.
At the moment we're planning a launch attempt on August 21-23. If we can't make it then the last weekend in august and the first two weekends in September are also in scope.
Now back to work. We have a rocket to assemble.

Looks like an Open house at CS
Come see the Nexø I rocket
Saturday September 5th between 14:00 and 17:00
See the rocket and talk to some of its creators
"On Saturday, September 5th, it's the 5th anniversary of the launch attempt of HEAT-1X
On this special day for CS, we invite you to come and see the Nexø I rocket one last time before we transport it to Bornholm for this year's launch.
You'll also have the chance to meet some of the people who have helped to design, draw and build it.
We do not charge admission, we do not sell sausages, there is no convention speaker, no cheerleaders, no draw for a holiday, not even a cup of coffee.
There is only the Nexø rocket, in all its power and glory, in the workshop in which it was built.
We hope to see you there. "

Launch Date Change
Launch postponed until September 19th-20th:
Unfortunately, the weather forecast for this weekend is looking quite bad, so we won't be able to launch the rocket as planned. We've extended our launch window and are hoping for better weather on September 19th-20th.
Newly released video The Nexø I rocket and it's creators.
