There's info on L2 to suggests it's still at Texas.

Edit: Fixed to provide correct information.

Second stage has been known to be at the cape for half a month now.
L2 link to the section talking about this:
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=32768.msg1095192#msg1095192

First stage was still in testing at that point, saying that it would be shipping out after a week or so.

Maybe they are really waiting for CASSIOPE to fly first, knowing that there will need to be some tweaks based on the data from that flight.

Did SpaceX have any statement on this mission upon the success of Cassiope on Sunday?

They may delay it a few weeks, see: https://twitter.com/jeff_foust/status/384399610535755776

Right now the question has to be what happened during yesterdays second stage relight? If there was a failure, would I allow my super expensive satellite to take a ride on a vehicle that is dependent on a relight of the second stage? If I had booked a secondary launch vehicle provider would I take my business there and cancel the current contract? I'm pretty sure that these conversations are going on.

Of course. But SpaceX claims to know what the problem is, what they will be doing to fix it, and I'm sure the customers are given some insight into these discussions. It is just as much in SpaceX interests (if not more than the customers) that the next two GTO flights can deliver the payloads.

Well, it proves that SES was right in waiting for a successful flight. If they had flown yesterday, the failed second firing would have stranded SES-8 in LEO, and would have counted as a LOM.

Or the second stage blew up which would have destroyed the payload not stranded it. I think there has to be a clear response by SpaceX to exactly what went wrong with the second stage relight. We are seeing something from the radar data. Most of us are not sure what though.

Musk has been quoted as knowing what caused the S2 re-light failure. Does anyone else know what caused it, and if so, what was the cause?

Um, no evidence the stage "blew up." That is currently just a rumor. It didn't complete the burn, that's for sure. And it reminds me of F9 v1.0 flight 1. They can fix this problem just like they did that one.

Given their record to date, I have no doubt that SpaceX will fix any problem that may have occurred. That said, current tracking data does point to the possibility of an explosion: http://www.zarya.info/blog/?p=1595

Ok, so this will become the discussion thread.

We have a live thread, so I'll breathe life into that.

We have the L2 thread.

And we'll need a Party Thread title please folks!

In honour of the geostationary orbit, I'll suggest "The Day the Earth Stood Still" for the party thread.

I nominate S.E.S. Dreams Come True as a party thread title.

Yes, there was a Korean all girl band name S.E.S.

Figure out how to put the sound effect from Pink Floyd's "Money" into words.  This would be SpaceX's first big comsat industry launch.  It puts the fear of God into the usual suspects all around the world.
If I like something on NSF, it's probably because I know it to be accurate.  Every once in a while, it's just something I agree with.  Facts generally receive the former.
