We are in the same boat my friend!!
This is nerve wrecking! 3 hours now and over...
They are all amateurs. Why use such weak servers when they know they are going to have thousands and the servers are down on a permanent basis? I keep reloading and reloading and nothing comes.
:-(
By the time we get through - -if we ever - - all VIP pckgs will be gone.

Why don't they take our orders via FB? They could if they wanted to. Their servers are mucked to the max - totally un-accessible - and they are telling us that???

I guess if you are ok with posting your credit card info on facebook that would be a valid option. The tickets are not going to go bad, they will get them all sold well before launch day. gotta be patient. those who are patient are more likely to get tickets. Just call their number, people seem to be getting through.

Both of those companies usually sell a few dozen reservations a day. This volume is unprecedented. I think the only things they could have done to prepare would be so expensive it would drive the ticket price sky-high. People think IT is free.......

Hello all!
I've been lurking on here for a month since a friend (who works at JSC) told me it was the best place for anything Shuttle related.
Anyway, I managed to get 4 causeway tickets thru Gray Line this afternoon. Took 3 hours, 6 failed Pay Pal purchase attempts, and 2 failed GL Checkout attempts... but the order finally went thru!
Looking forward to my first-ever Shuttle launch. Couldn't let the opportunity pass by to cross it off my bucket list.
---------------
Still haven't made airline reservations so I have to ask... do you think flying out on Monday evening would leave enough buffer time for possible delays, assuming nothing major comes up pre-launch?
Thanks as well for the awesome LaunchWiki site - very helpful!

I am hanging it up. I already have a ticket and was trying to help some people on here out. Four hours is long enough. I can't commit anymore time to this. Sorry everyone! I tried.

Just call their number, people seem to be getting through.
I bought a causeway ticket at 3:43 (EDT) from FDT (don't have the finances to float any extra tickets otherwise I would have bought more to share on here) by calling them at 407-352-4646 and then selecting option 1 for reservations. Took me about 10 tries over a 15 minute period to get through (tried all three numbers I've seen posted here) and once it connected I had about a 3 - 4 minute wait on hold before I got to a real person.
One thing I noticed is that if you're using the 1-877 number it may ring a couple times and then go busy, probably when the toll free system tries to hand off to the local line and it is already maxed out. I'd recommend using the regular number instead of the 877 number, when you figure its going to be a ~5 minute call I'd think the toll charges would be insignificant compared to the cost of the ticket

Are you calling FDT too? Just saw on their FB page that someone from England got through and got causeway tickets.

Deleting them took a while for me & kicked me off multiple times. I'm currently stuck between the checkout & secure info entry pages

. Good luck!

If you can, book with a carrier who doesn't penalize excessively for flight changes, have heard Southwest is a good choice in that regard.
Also, keep watching the processing thread for updates, it's your best source for knowing about launch prep happenings.
