I was able to use Swee's link to get in, 'sort of'.
But then when trying to process the CC info, it came back with a message that it could not make a secure connection, and it seemed to die.
According to my CC online, FDT put a hold on my account already.
Wonder if that means I'll get them?
I'd have bought six, but my CC limit only allowed me to get the two I need. Sorry guys!

Hi. Quick question about the LTT Causeway tickets. I'm trying to decide if I should bring my son if I get tickets (at this point would be off eBay).
For a 11:40 launch, what time do the buses leave for the causeway?
I'm concerned about too much "down time" for the little tyke and wondering if it's better to be at the VC. Is there anything to do on the causeway while waiting?
Thanks.
Oh yeah. Not sure what time my arrival time will be on the placard. How early do they usually have people arrive? And I guess it's a no-brainer to assume the VC is open that early? (sorry if these are dumb questions).

Thiis is getting more and more esoteric.
I wish the two merchants would just block these web bots IPs.

Yeah they have probably implemented a limit of max 3 or 5 reloads / hits per IP

That is what that message actually is; the router is now set to block everybody probably.
That lets the admin stabilize the environment, and then they will open back up IP ranges that they know are not bot related.
If they're using a criteria of a dozen or so refreshes as the cut off though, they may inadvertantly block a lot of normal users. =\

If I remember correctly, on the ill-fated 4/29 launch attempt, we left the VC for the causeway about 3 hours before the launch time. I would guess that's typical

Good plan - according to FB posters this afternoon, buyers have reported success, but the selling is going very slowly due to the traffic congestion - so chances are it will take awhile to sell all the tickets, by that time many may have given up.

Has anyone been able to get FDT's site to come up at all now?
I'm just wondering if I'm specifically on the 'block' list for some reason now, or if everyone is still locked out.

Hi. I know you're trying to communicate about the tour companies... My internet is down at home (the whole region... thanks Verizon), so have to ask the questions here from work. Sorry to intrude.
"MSC" said the buses leave the VC to the causeway about 3 hrs before launch. That's a long time, it seems. Is there stuff to do on the causeway that might keep a kid interested?
And, how long after the launch do the buses return to the VC?
I'm guess my parking placard will say to arrive at like 4am or so... Is this really "kid-friendly"? Any of you bring 7 yr olds to a launch?
Thanks so much.

The page loads sometimes and each time I try to put stuff in the cart it kicks me back to the page to buy them, so I go to check my damn cart & I have like freaking 22 tickets in there. Why doesn't it just take u to the cart like most places?!? So I try to delete tickets & then it breaks again

grrrrrrr

I believe if you have the tickets in your cart you have the tickets. At some point today you just need to checkout. I actually did this for 133. I had the tickets in my cart but couldn't checkout. I gave up after an hour of trying. Someone from Gator stated that if you had tickets in your cart they are still there and you need to checkout. So 5 hours after I gave up I went back and the tickets were still in my cart and I checked out successfully.

The only things to do on the causeway are whatever you bring with you to do. It is some speakers, a few trailers selling food, porta potties and nothing else.
My son at 7 would have been able to handle it - only you know how your son will react. You can easily take a small backpack (it will have to clear KSC security first) but if he can be kept busy with paper to draw on or with a game system like a PSP, I bet he survives three hours.
The busses leave very quickly after the launch. We almost missed our bus back because we were taking too many pictures.
But mostly you are sitting around and talking to the people around you. I took some magazines and a book, my then 13 year old took his Ipod and PSP.
