I thought the placards say either West Causeway or Visitor Complex on them.
I've done this five times and have never seen a placard (for viewing @ VC or Causeway tics throu KSCVC) that says West Causeway. I'm sure this is for KSC workers & contractors to drive their cars out to the causeway- it was the west causeway- like they did for STS-134.

I wasn't chosen (so far). I need 3 VC tickets. If it get scrubbed maybe we can get the chance of getting Causeway at the ticket booth. Anybody here would take some for me?? I can pay via Paypal! PM me.

Yo
I just got the 2nd chance email, might try a HOF in case it gets scrubbed.
Do we go straight to HOF or get bussed there from KSCVC ?
You really need to be at KSCVC for any chance of a Causeway ticket
Thanks

i had congressional passes for 134. I actually go the letter from Nasa before I got notified by my senator. I'm still holding out and hoping for an invite in the mail. (but I have no idea how I will convince my wife to let me go)
For what it's worth, the email address to RSVP stays the same launch to launch.
Thank you!! I did get my invitation in the mail today from NASA. The email address is indeed the same as for STS-134. Since I emailed last Wednesday and they say you'd get a confirmation in 48 hours I sent another RSVP today. I would hate to lose my tickets based on email problems! And no it is not in a spam folder!

No KSC email here.
I suppose this was the last batch of tickets they sent emails for?

Can you buy tickets using someone else's invitation?
Say someone got a 2nd round lottery notice, but decided they cannot go. Could they supply the invite/password and I buy them? Or must I badger them to wake up at 6AM (Pacific) and sit in front of the computer?

Thanks so much for this reminder, I will badger/bribe my unlucky friend. They have been to 2 previous launches and planned to go to this one, but life does get in the way sometimes.........

Let's not share this with the folks on Facebook who are convinced people have registered hundreds of times using whatever credit card they choose. I personally enjoy reading their ignorance. ROFL
Good luck to those going for second chance.

No email for me either. But my parents got one for the second round visitor centre tickets.

I'm making the trip from Australia so this is one less thing to worry about.

Hi. A question about the placards, I know I get only one... If I get an extra ticket, I might sell it, but don't know if people will want it w/o the placard. Is there a place where I can tell the person we can meet and can carpool in with me? Or don't people generally do that. Otherwise, how do people get in w/o a placard... walk? I'd think not. Thanks.

If you can get to kscvc day before launch, with ticket in hand for launch either causeway or visitor center, ive had the staff give me the vehicle placard free. They wont give it out however, without proof that you need it.

Thanks. I didn't realize the staff will give them away. For 134 I struggled to get tix w/ a placard at a price I could afford. Ended up having to sell them due to the scrub(s).
Will the KSCVC still give out placards the day before? Is this something I can count on? If so, I'll wait to get a tic b/c there will certainly be single tics for sale later.
Also, I saw on eBay that VIP shuttle bus tix are on sale. I didn't think they were available yet? (Grayline, Gator tours). Could this be a scam?
thanks.

Some outrageous launch ticket prices out there on fleabay already!
10 NASA CAUSEWAY Space Shuttle Atlantis Launch STS-135 $5,999.99
Free shipping
8 NASA CAUSEWAY Space Shuttle Atlantis Launch STS-135 $4,999.99
Free shipping
7 NASA CAUSEWAY Space Shuttle Atlantis Launch STS-135 $3,999.99
Free shippingThese are from the same seller and they have posted many more in the same price range.
How could they ever get so many?
No surprise some of us didn't get anything.
I expect the same will be done with the transport companies.
There is definitely something wrong somewhere along the line.

The ebay resellers, just like everyone else, don't really get their tickets through the lottery either. Keep in mind that the lottery is just a relatively small portion of the total amount of tickets available, both regarding Causeway, VC and HOF. The majority by far is sold through tour companies - at more sensible rates - meaning more expensive - and to a much smaller market.
The main problem in all of this is the ridiculously low rates KSC is using for their direct sale tickets. With more sensible pricing (at least 10x of what they currently have), you wouldn't be facing the rate of 1000 buyers per available ticket
All of those ratios being imaginary examples obviously and far from actual fact, but the general picture is the main purpose here: Selling something which is in high demand at dumping rates means you get a lot of buyers for something which is in a very limited supply. Up the prices and the number of buyers drops. Very basic economy

Not interested if I can't get causeway. I think I'm going t let this one pass.
I've never post here before - but have read whilst lurking in the Ihavenothingrelevanttoadd shadows..
But if you are honestly thinking about letting this oportunity slide - is there any way me +1 could use your chance for tickets? (I realise you will probably have to pay for them yourself at first)
We're from the UK and tried to see sts-134 and failed due to the scrub, and not being able to extend our holiday. No luck with the ksc ticket registrations or the tweetups (past or present).
We'll be coming anyway (and probably watching via kayak just north-west of the pads), but having seen how ace kscvc is, we were really hoping for that or causeway.
This also goes for anyone else who is thinking of not using the opportunity... blanket appeal!

Still doesn't explain how they get them (and so many) in the first place. The (bus) tour companies are reporting they didn't even get theirs yet. I understand how the tour companies get them, they have a relationship w/ NASA. But what about the eBay guys? NASA really knowingly sells tickets on eBay? Or are the eBay guys from tour companies and instead selling on eBay. Very interesting "behind the scenes" of the economy of launch viewing tickets.
