I'm wondering what is happening with the emails. I submitted my "entry" on 6/1 and received a confirmation email saying the entry was received. Since then I haven't heard anything, yes or no. The confirmation letter said I would hear something either way.
Any ideas about what is happening?
Submitted my entry on 5/31.
No reply email from KSC be it yes or no.
I tend to think those of us outside the US are being left out. I would not be surprised if this was the case.
Any "outsiders" here get choseh?

Hello everyone, new member and first post!
I like everyone else did not get selected and feel very disappointed. I was really hoping to give my 14 year old stepson the experience of a lifetime, even though at the moment he's not exactly understanding why this is so important. Kids nowadays!
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the likelyhood/probability of getting causeway tickets through Gator or FDT? Or do these run out just as quick?
Causeway or not, we'll still be there.
@MadameC: Neither my brother nor I got chosen and we're in Ontario. Perhaps we should have used our address down in Cocoa Beach, but then our credit cards wouldn't have matched up. I was under the assumption that the lottery was completely random?

I tend to think that those who bought from Gaor or FDT for the past launches will be notified by email in first place when they put their packages online.
Should be logical but there is not much logic in business. Maybe it's the one who bought the most packages who will get notified. Could be anything.

To paraphrase FDR, "The only thing to be certaint about is uncertainty itself".
For STS-134, the Grayline site had all sorts of issues on the day tickets went on sale and crashed. A few days after tickets had been 'sold out', I checked the site again and was able to buy a ticket.
Here is the link to subscribe to the Grayline for STS-135 ticket updates:

You will probably get the email by the middle of next week. The first round of ticket sales was this morning. There may be a second round next week depending on what's left after this morning. After that is complete the emails saying "sorry you weren't selected" will be sent out.

So how many tickets between Causeway, Visitor Center and Hall of Fame total are available? Is there any indication of how many people were in the lottery?

I got 6 Causeway tickets from the KSC lottery last time (from London, UK). Only had 3 entries in the lottery and didn't really have anything like the appreciation I should have done for how lucky I had been until seeing how bad the odds were later. So I don't think it discriminates against location. Out of everyone posting on facebook, Twitter and here, I only know of 9 winning emails and one successful Causeway purchase. I would think thats out of well over 1000+ people if not more. Pretty slim odds.
Last time I think both Gator and Dolphins first notifications were via facebook, their emails were sent much later. So if you want to be on the minute, facebook is the place to watch, however, I'm sure the emails will be in advance of the sale time.
Last time the KSC sales were Mon, Wed, and Gator/Dolphin were midday EDT Friday. A similar timeline for this would be KSC second round on Tuesday (Monday emails) and Gator/Dolphin Thursday. But who knows.
DrGuano - last time Gator got an extra allocation from KSC a few days later. They said initially that they had a much smaller allocation than they usually got, so perhaps they complained and managed to get some more released.
My personal estimates for KSC lottery are c. 3000 Causeway, 10,000 VC, haven't spent any time thinking about AHOF. KSC staff said they were expecting around 30,000 total through the doors on launchday, am not sure if this was including AHOF or not. Obviously a good proportion of these will be people bussed in by Dolphin/Gator.
KSC had around 9,000 people visiting on Apr 28th (day before launch), though apparently had peaked a few days earlier hitting over 10,000 earlier that week.

Hi all,
I'm from Cape Town, South Africa so I don't really know Florida very well at all.
I'm hoping to watch STS-135 (my first shuttle launch) but I've got to catch a flight to NYC that afternoon/evening.
I understand that the traffic from Cape Canaveral to MCO will be really bad after the launch. I've read that the drive could take 3 hours, ouch.
Are there any other alternative routes to get to MCO that would be faster?
I need to catch the earliest flight that I can.
Otherwise is there somewhere closer (travel duration wise) to MCO that would still provide a decent view of the launch?
Thanks for the help!!

For the last launch people were saying to give yourself 5 hours to get back to Orlando so if you are on a time restraint to make a flight I'd give yourself lots and lots of time!
As for the outside US people being left out I am in the US and I was not chosen for the STS-134 lottery or the STS-135 so I don't really think they exclude based on that. For STS-134 I didn't get my "sorry, you weren't picked email" until after all the rounds of sales were over.
Is there anybody that has won congressional tickets more than once? I am wondering if they use the same RSVP email address every time? I got my confirmation email but not the nice invite in the postal mail yet. I went ahead and emailed the RSVP to the address I used for STS-134. Said you should get confirmation in 48 hours but that time frame has passed with no confirmation. I am wondering if they use a different email? I hate waiting for the postal mail with the 6/17 deadline hanging over my head! I have a VERY unreliable mail carrier!

Congratulations!! I am so jealous. Just checked and no email for me yet. I'm wondering if they are emailing the winners first or is it completely random.

They said this via Twitter 30 minutes ago:
"NASATweetup emails have begun to go out. Be patient; it takes a while to send 5,500. Check spam for hq-twitter(at)mail.nasa.gov"
Also this:
"We selected 150 for the wait list @NASAwaitup and randomly select from those to fill @NASATweetup spots as they become available."

Pretty new here too - but the regular denizens have been kind enough to gather a lot of viewing information here:

Hello and welcome, these tickets will also go quickly, especially for the last launch. Don't waste a minute when you see they're available. Keep checking even if they sell out initially, they could receive more. Good luck!

Everyone needs to be extra quick for the bus tour launch tickets. Saw this posted by staff on their Gray Line / Gator Facebook page:
"...if we freeze the facebook list at its present followers, added the twitter followers, added the mailing list that that have called and signed up about launch tickets - we would already need 4 times the amount of tickets then we have :-( and this would be for just our suuporters..... our supporters will all be the first to know you can be assured !"
Some quick math: 1,744 on Facebook + 525 on Twitter + ?? on the mailing list, added and divided by 4, would indicate possibly less than 1,000 tickets available.

Keep in mind that there are mostly likely duplicates; people that are on all three lists--thus difficult to guess the numbers.
