"Since there have not been any tickets sold yet, the listings on Ebay are more than likely done by ticket brokers who are expecting to purchase tickets from individuals that are able to buy them, and then resell them. We suggest that you use caution if attempting to buy any tickets on Ebay, or other similar sites."
Key word there: Expecting

What irratates me is these guys on fleabay will end up with a few tickets to make money off of, but those who have never gotten the chance to buy them are out of luck!!!!! Oh well! its not about those clowns, its about Atlantis, and if I have to view from Titusville, then I will!!!!

No joy up here in Minneapolis either, yet. But I do have my place reserved in FL for a week, starting July 7. Those of who don't get the goods...party at my place!!!! (With just small contributions to the damage deposit expected. *L*)

No joy here either but I'm not giving up hope; I've been through too much to not be down there. My space adventure started with Atlantis, it's only proper I see her off!
For those waiting to hear about the NASATweetup good luck, best experience ever, even if it is "just twitter" I promise if you get in; you'll LOVE IT!
Also a suggestion to those wondering about housing; if you have friends or acquaintances on this site - one suggestion to cut cost is to rent a house

Did so for 133 and housing cost was $130 per person for the week, for 135 we have it (same house) for $154.

Not booking the hotel yet. Waiting til very last. Not until I hear of the tanking tests being done. Things can change so fast.

No my tactic at all, I book early--but I book something without a cancellation penalty.

I would book sooner than later. There is a limited supply, and there is already a very small number of hotels in the local area left. So if you want to be somewhat close I would fine one that allows for cancellation without charge.

MCO airport suits me well. I am not looking into anything elsewhere.
I will be fine.

There are hotel rooms available? I've been trying to get a room for a month now. I keep checking in case they release some rooms in Titusville but I did go ahead and reserve a room near MCO.

Yo
I wonder how the onsale went and how many tickets were really available.
Without a KSC causeway ticket it makes it so unpredictable going the FDT/Grayline route, great if it goes on time but expensive and very time consuming when it doesn't.
But looks like FDT here I come.

One facebook person reported not being able to get 4 Causeway at 9:12. One guy managed 6 Causeway by 9:09. Am waiting to hear back from 3 others.

so, tickets went on sale this morning, huh?
[crickets]
exactly two people in all of twitter (at least, only two hashtagging #kscvc, #sts135, or #sts-135) mentioned getting tickets. nobody i know (which is an extended net of about fifty people) got in. and two, maybe three people here got in? on this whole forum?
...man. this is NOT how i expected this to go.
i'm pretty much 100% convinced that further examination of the entries would reveal that thousands of them all came from the same zip code, serving a town of only a few hundred people. or some other scam like that.
maybe they're spacing out the purchases in a different way this time. maybe they've just really lowered the number of available tickets. or maybe there really were just that many more entries.
sigh...

The KSC ticket system didn't select me from the virtual waiting room until 9:20am, of course by that time Causeway tickets were all gone. Congratulations to the lucky recipients, hopefully someone from the forum had better luck than I did.
Good luck to everyone in the Twitter contest today, and also with the bus companies!!

Know your pain. It seems quite a few people with winning emails are coming out of the woodwork on facebook to complain, now that they *haven't* got tickets. I offered free advice to anyone who messaged me (4 people), one of whom fully took it and hit 6 tickets, 2 of whom failed, and one I haven't heard from yet. I know of 9 winning emails in total but only one that got Causeway tickets.
Ah well. Once the Tweetup is done today and I haven't been picked, perhaps I can get on with some of the work I should have been doing all week....anyone know what time is likely for the Tweetup mails? I believe it might've been around midday EDT last time but can't really remember? Good luck, all!

I'm wondering what is happening with the emails. I submitted my "entry" on 6/1 and received a confirmation email saying the entry was received. Since then I haven't heard anything, yes or no. The confirmation letter said I would hear something either way.
Any ideas about what is happening?

They will probably do at least one more round of ticket sales, probably just VC and AHOF tickets. So they will send another round of emails, followed by a round to all of those who did not get selected.

Ah, well... perhaps I will clear the congressional waitlist, perhaps I will get tweeted but I will definitely be going to the launch! KSC tickets are usually a long shot but something always turns up. There is always the bar in Port Canaveral from which to view with a refreshing beverage.
