Yo
If they do scrub and anyone manages to get an extra LTT, then please PM me, I'll take it. Bear in mind when you buy one with your voucher you still need to produce your blue ticket.
I havent heard of them selling LTT tickets to anyone if you havent got the voucher on the day of scrub.

Cool. I'm coming in quite early (for second shift) as in pre launch so if I get a chance I'll try to say hi.

OK ladies and gents -
Checking out for the night. Flying down in the morning. Hope to see many of you in Titusville tomorrow night. I'll be the one with the ear to ear grin I just can't wipe off my face. I don't know why I got a room for Thursday night. It's not like I'll be able to sleep.
For those who won't be there, or I don't get a chance to see, THANK YOU ALL so very much for all the information, help and guidance you'e supplied getting me this close to my first ever launch.

So assuming all the tour bus folks head out Friday and it scrubs, do they get a partial refund or discount in the next trip? Kinda sucks to be them.

They get to pay $50 a head if schedule changes within 24 hours of PICKUP time.

Thats a pretty hot spot.
Check out
www.launchwiki.com in the Viewing Options page, lots of other good places that are not as well known.
Check Max Brewer bridge, I assume they will be closing it to traffic again this time for people to view from.

I just got back from KSC and the today tomorrow tour. It went right up to the base of pad 39b's apron and on to the a/b camera stop. Distance was given as 3000ft. I thought that today was the last trip to the a/b camera stop.

Wow, that's a lot less than I had thought--just over a half mile then. Yes due to the early launch on Friday it doesn't surprise me at all that they wouldn't run the KSC:T&T tour at all tomorrow (due to RSS retraction). Glad you got to see it... I really enjoyed that vantage point when I did that tour in November. I didn't think I was going to be able to (sold out) but thanks to all the scrubs I snagged a ticket. That's about the only upside to a scrub but I was able to come back in February for the actual launch so it all worked out great... a memory I will always carry with me.
I just wish I was down there for Atlantis' swan song, but can't break free from work. Best of luck to all of you lucky observers!

Local television stations reporting a 11:04 am launch time Saturday if Friday is scrubbed.

Can someone give me some advice regarding the following scenario.
We have four Gator causeway tickets. Two of my group can't make the launch on Friday, but would be able to make any relaunch attempt on Saturday or Sunday.
If the Friday launch is scrubbed, but goes down to the wire, will my friends be able to use their original unused LTT tickets or will we need to repurchase four LTT tickets for the next attempt?
What's Gator's policy for unused LTT tickets if the first launch date is scrubbed?

Local info needed!!!!
We will be driving up from Stuart (I-95). In the past, we have taken 95 to 528 east & then north up rte 3.
We have a 7 a.m. admittance placard to the visitor center. It should take 1 hr 20 min to get there on a normal day.
Can you give me any local information on the best route to take & attempt to avoid the worst traffic? We have two young kids & I can already hear "are we there yet", not to mention the other nagging I might be in for LOL!
Thank you in advance!!!!!

If their policy is the same as it was for STS-133 (I'm sure it is) then the rule is if the bus comes to your pickup location, the transportation part of your Gator ticket is considered used, regardless of whether you are actually there to board the bus or not. You will have to pay (usually somewhere around $25-30 I think) for the transportation part of the next attempt, and for each attempt thereafter where the buses are actually dispatched to the pickup locations.
Their theory for that is that they have to pay for the buses regardless of if the launch goes off as planned or is scrubbed. And they send out the buses based on the number of people who have signed up for each particular pickup location. So even though your friends won't be there on Friday, space for them was still allocated on the bus--therefore even if they don't show up they are paying for that space.
Probably more long-winded than you needed, but that's the rationale anyway. Hope for very few (if any) scrubs, because that launch ticket quickly gets expensive when you have to keep paying for each transport.
Hope that helps.

So, I may actually cry...after all the excitement and planning leading up to this launch. All the expectation, at the last minute our plans fell apart.
My only hope to ever see a launch in person now is via pure miracle or time-travel.
However, it also means that I have 3 FDT VIP Causeway tickets burning a hole in my proverbial pocket.
As much as I want to hold onto them, I'd like it if I could at least help someone else have their dreams come true.
If interested, send me a PM.
Things are crazy as we cancel plans, and I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with the thread...I don't want to miss someone's post. And I certainly don't want to have to resort to putting these on ebay where the sharks are lurking.
I know I haven't really posted much since I've joined, but I just wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful information and tips they've posted over the last couple weeks, and for being so friendly.
I wish I could be there with all of you.
Brighteststar, are you around? I messaged you about the causeway tickets yesterday. If they are still available I'm very interested (looking for 2). I'm currently driving to Florida but am able to get online every once in a while. Getting these tickets would be a dream come true. Thanks!
