Higher-definition NASA TV link... (the audio is funny, and you might have a commercial play before the stream starts, but it's good video quality!)

Not getting audio from NTV

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html works fine - the link on Vidcast has garbled audio.

Recovery pic via SpaceX PAO:

Wow...that pic was taken with some very serious camera hardware.  Hopefully, they'll publish a full-res sooner or later.

NTV is fine, call your satellite/cable provider or try an online stream.

NASA Administrator Bolden's Statement On Falcon 9 Launch.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden issued the following statement about SpaceX's launch of the Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule:

"While rocket launches from the Cape are considered a common occurrence, the historic significance of today's achievement by SpaceX should not be lost.

"This is the first in a new generation of commercial launch systems that will help provide vital support to the International Space Station and may one day carry astronauts into orbit. This successful demonstration flight is an important milestone in meeting the objectives outlined by President Obama and Congress, and shows how government and industry can leverage expertise and resources to foster a new and vibrant space economy.

"These new explorers are to spaceflight what Lindbergh was to commercial aviation."

The Falcon 9 launch is part of NASA's Commercial Orbital Transportation Services program. For more information, visit:

The launch video is available at:

NASA Television's Video File also will air b-roll of the launch. For scheduling information, visit:

Does anyone know how kitted out the interior was? I know it was pressurized and instrumented, but is it basically in the same internal configuration as an ISS cargo pod will be? Does it have a docking adaptor attached? Any modest form of 'life support'?  ie recirculation, CO2 scrubbers, temp control?

Alan. Was expecting to be talking about learning from failures. Didn't expect to tick off all the milestones, but they did. Looks 100 percent successful.

Happy with SpaceX finding and solving the issue with the cracks. This public private experiment is working. Thanks Gwynne for the early Christmas president.

This is seriously cool. Great job, everyone, both on the launch side and the coverage side.

Thanking NASA and the COTS team. I've been saying all along, SpaceX couldn't have done this so soon without COTS. So all the administrations that supported it, good this is really for you.

Elon thanks NASA and says they wouldn't have gone as far as they did without them.

It seemed pretty empty, but there was some stuff in there, as you can see in this video...

(It's a video looking "outside", but through a window which acts as a mirror for what's inside when "outside" is black.):

(Starting at about 50 seconds in, you can see inside)

Elon: This is better then expected, almost too good. Says all 18 engines worked flawlessly (hmmm, not what we've got). It's all blown his mind. Thanks NASA, would not be there without the help of NASA. We're only here because we stand on the shoulders of giants. The whole COTS model is a really good model.

Says you don't need pixie dust to go from cargo to crew. If a crew was in Dragon today they'd of had a very nice ride of up to 4.5G.

He's totally all over the place ;D Happy guy.

Elon, the signal-to-noise ratio in your dialogue needs improvement.  Cut to Gwynne please.

"Without NASA we wouldn't be here." Those are words that will live on in history.
