Congrats SpaceX and thanks to everyone at NasaSpaceflight.com for helping those of us who couldn't witness this historical even live.

I think I'll go buy some Kool-Aid to celebrate! ;)

Congrats to SpaceX!  Now back to regular programming...

And to the few of you who think "ugg, this site's always pimping its L2" - guess what's paying for those servers which keep these public threads and news site up during these times? That's right!

Go for it.  After I invented the internets, I was hoping someone would put up a site worth all that effort.

Ten thousand bottles of SpaceX's new fragrance: Elon's musk

I wuz gonna say something about how the humor on this site stinks, but I guess I won't.

Also, why does my Sawzall have niobium chips all over it?
Sometimes I just flat out don't get it.

SpaceXer: GO Army!

So I guess with this small satellite (and the others carries on the flight - 3 or 4?) - SpaceX quadrupled the number of payloads they have put in orbit.

Anything on first stage recovery?

If a question is asked 27 times over a 3 hour period, and a briefing on this very topic comes in 20 minutes, I think it's a given.

Isn't that just the NASA TV stream they were feeding?

Yes, it is. On a related note, curious setup the NASA coverage of the launch was. It would appear NASA chose/was asked to use only lower resolution cameras while SpaceX I guess got the exclusive on the hi-res trackers. I actually expected the same feed to be broadcast from both parties.

I suspect a fully instrumented flight test dummy in a spacesuit.

The key word that Elon used was "humorous." Maybe a dummy twin of Elon himself?

How about a Dragon, stuffed or otherwise?

"Just so you know, we're all routing for ya"

:)

Just want to add my congratulations and thanks to SpaceX for keeping the dream alive.  Most exciting Space event since sitting on my mom's bed eating an orange on a warm July night in 1969...

Did you miss out on the 130+ Shuttle missions?

And a Magic Dragon to boot!

(FWIW, I already predicted Puff. I'm hoping to get one thing right this week.)

If I were Elon I'd do just that: sign a contingent contract for product placement with images taken from inside the capsule. If it fails, no one ever hears about it. If it succeeds, collect large check and thank you very much. Youse guys gotta start thinking like true capitalists :-)

Outstanding job SpaceX.

Funny you should say that...that's what this mission reminded me of...those early Mercury flights...no internet in those days, barely any TV coverage...just waiting on words from a news announcer of mission updates...seemed really "old school" but what a day !!!
