From SFN:

The Dragon's performance on-orbit was 100 percent successful, according to SpaceX.

We haven't yet found out what Elon's "secret" cargo on Dragon was.  Maybe it was Elon himself...  ;D

Chris  Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Hey, Chris.  How hammered were your servers for the last half hour?

Coped really well! These are good tests of our servers and we never touched any redlines. Remember when the site used to fallover when we went over 500 people on an event thread? The amount of people, bandwidth and data we can host now is rediculous, but required.

And to the few of you who think "ugg, this site's always pimping its L2" - guess what's paying for those servers which keep these public threads and news site up during these times? That's right! ;D

And if you lost a post, remember, it's never personal. We try and keep it as tidy as possible, and I know we'll of missed some things, but for the record I personally do not see ANYTHING wrong with people being excited about space flight.

There was one post that I wish wasn't removed or at least I wish I took a screenshot!  ;)

As for my little contribution to increasing the noise-to-signal ratio:

I. am. speechless.

Could this secret payload be some kind of living creature (a mouse?), just to prove the capsule is genuinely able to sustain life?

That would be another "first".
I watch rockets

SpaceXer: "Splashdown on target. Mission is a success!"

Where's the bottle opener? (this is good beer)

That is absolutely freaking awesome. Wooooooooo.

Magic Johnson once told a story about winning his first NBA basketball game as a professional with the LA Lakers. He was running around the court waving his arms and screaming like a kid. The great Kareem Abdul Jabar approached him and calmly intoned - "Irving, there are still 64 games to play this season."

I must admit that I too feel like running around the court and screaming but the season has just begun. Let's celebrate this victory and hope that ten years from now we've got some championship rings to show for it.

Has anyone said "W00T!" yet ? :-)

A fantastic job, and it reminds me of the excitement I felt aged about 6 watching apollo 17 coming down.

Hopefully the capsule recovery goes as well as the mission. I hope the target area is relatively calm for them.
