Was forwarded this, pretty cool but kinda a downer at the same time.
Subject: Note left by Astronauts
This is Cool !!!!
When a vehicle returns to the OPF, we go over them like ants at a picnic, While performing the FWD surveillance inspection of Flight deck, I found this note left by the Astronauts on the upper side of locker A-16. While scanning the area with a mirror this caught my eye. I’m assuming the Astronauts thought we would never see it. It obviously was done on orbit in zero gravity, otherwise they would have to be standing on their heads.

Awesome! A really nice bit of history! Let's hope we can add "The second last flight of Atlantis" in June 2011!

Very cool indeed... I think the whole crew was one of the best of the entire shuttle program. I've been following every shuttle flight since STS-1 and as far as I can tell these guys had the most fun of them all. It was more than a pleasure and an honour to follow this flight! If STS 135 every flies I want this crew to be on it!

Well at least we know a little bit about how the astronauts feel about Shuttle retirement. Wish they could express this out loud instead of this way.

"The first last flight" - HA! that sounds like a way of saying they expect STS-135?

This is just great.
It would only be greater if we had a larger picture of it

I hope they do exactly the same on the other two Orbiters the last time they fly.
This is a fitting way for the members of the Astronaut Corps to be able to say a personal "farewell" to these much-loved vehicles which have carried so many of them, so far.
Ross.

VERY COOL! I was fortunate enough to meet these guys when they came to GRC this past Monday, they were absolutely hilarious! Tony (Antonelli) put it best at their briefing, (as they were standing there looking up at her), "Ya know, all this goofing off we do is gonna look really stupid if we mess up". Great group of guys. So luck to have met them.
