Huge congrats to SpaceX. Even if it turns out they missed their target orbit this was a great launch to watch.

congrats to all spaceX
and indeed a stunning launch. I cant wait for the HD material.
Also, the roll definititly seemed to be increasing - I wonder what ( if anything ) happened there.

Wow. That was exhilarating!

Congratulations!

Totally wonderful!

(BTW, they're just going to let the Dragon and second stage decay over the next year. They may gather some more data from the instrumented Dragon skeleton, but it's pretty much over, now. The batteries won't last long.)

Now for Flight 2!!!
Can't wait until Flight 3, where they'll bring up supplies (hopefully) to Station!

Can I say woohoo? The first stage looked badass!

Would like to have a confirmed orbit and a reason for that roll which started like a BB roll, but got worse.

Don't know what was up with all the "victory" rolls, but the rest looked pretty nice.  Congratulations to SpaceX for what went right (which looked like a heck of a lot), and best of luck for fixing what went wrong (I'm sure something must have been a little funky in the telemetry) for the next launch!

I watched the SpaceX feed, as well as the CNN coverage. CNN had no clue about the delay, so the announcer is saying we have 5 seconds and counting, and then the guy live from the Cape yells out "WOAH WAIT IT'S LAUNCHING!!!! ITS LAUNCHING!" They thought Falcon had jumped the gun, then they finally realized it was a feed delay.

Gotta love network news...though they had a great camera view of the launch that was not from the SpaceX feed.

Beautiful.  Redundant to offer congratulations, but Congratulations to Space-X.

As a space enthusiast, is it ok for me to tear up a bit?  I did while watching this launch.  At T minus 30 seconds, I was saying "Oh god, don't screw this one up", but watching the launch, they did it.  This is a huge step forward for manned space flight.  Commercial rockets are the real deal.

Yeah! Looks reasonably tame on the pad, then it fired up and became a monster. Wonder what the sound was like for those in the area.

Certainly need some data on the performance, but heck they go up there, staged, lit the second stage and despite whatever that rolling was about, got to SECO-1. Absolutely deserve congrats.

Is there a date for the 2nd Falcon 9 launch?  I now it supposed to be this summer but is there a planning date?

Fantastic, great to watch. Inspiring stuff!

I loved the casual grass fire comment - merely extra candles on the cake. :)

Congratulations spaceX, all the best for the future!
