Exclusive historical videos
« on: 05/06/2010 11:38 AM »
Dear everyone,

I have produced 2 videos, and I post them here now because I've released the second one yesterday, for the 49th anniversary of the MR-3 flight of Alan Shepard. It shows the inside of the Mercury capsule during launch, with explanation about the main events occuring along the flight.
Synchronization of the different videos and sound tracks was an enormous work for me, as I'm not really an expert with video softwares. The main source for the videos is Spacecraftfilms, but their tracks are not at all "synchronized" as they say in the booklet.
Other sources are internet, for some parts of the tracks.

I hope you will enjoy them.

You can find it in the following link:

My previous video was the STS 51-G flight of Patrick Baudry with live personnal comments inside the shuttle during launch.

Thanks. :D
Concerning Apollo 16, I'm not sure I can do better than the video of Gary Neff (available on youtube), as there was no camera showing the inside of the LM during the descent. Nevertheless, I agree that this should be more interesting to see, as the astronauts had much more control on the spacecraft than during the MR-3 flight, where the astronaut was almost a passenger.
