Im also twitching

[1] Europe's favourite volcano is at it again and has deposited a vast cloud of ash over the north atlantic - looks like all of us Europeans are facing at best delays and perhaps worse by mid week if the cloud gets blown inland. Fingers crossed...
Fingers crossed indeed!
Traveling from Oslo early Tuesday morning via Stockholm and New York, and then to Orlando (OSL-ARN-EWR-MCO).
That's really true. Starting Thursday noon from Germany - only 6 hours left in my plans to compensate possible delays. I don't want to think about it - but it would be a real shame.

Been a fair bit of flight disruption today from UK airports. Manchester flight was 6 1/2 hours late departing, Gatwick flight is still on the ground tracking a 10 hour delay. I would think delays like that would have effects for a few days. Exactly 12 hours between when I land to my Dolphin pickup. Im not worried.......... honest!!

Just arrived in Orlando. The Trans Atlantic flight was delayed for an hour because of flying a longer route around Iceland.... No problem though!

Just got in last night. Staying at the Super 8 motel which turns out to be much better than expected.
Planning on being there tonight.
@TISM: can you help me out please. I've tried everything to get some decent tickets to see the launch but everything failed. Any suggestion would be very welcome! See you tonight!
@jdwjdw (Joost), too bad you can't make it to the dinner! Coming in too late?

I travelled to the US from Australia around this very time last year to see Atlantis (STS 125) launch.
My husband, the two children (ages then were 11 and 5) and I were lucky enough to view the launch from the causeway - thrilling to be there !
This NSF site and the contributors on this forum were an enormous help in my general planning and I have them to thank for our being successful in viewing a live launch.
That particular launch date had been brought forward a day - I read about that here on this forum first, and had ample time to change our travel arrangements.
So- good luck and safe journey to all those travelling many miles to see this launch - especially my fellow Aussies - and ...
Go Atlantis !!
