I was able to use this webcam just a few minutes ago and turn it to the left, just in time to see an SRB being towed through;
http://www.cocoabeachsurf.com/BeachCam1.htmDidn't work too well, but at least I saw it! Now if I could only see it in person.

Liberty appears to be parked well before lock. Might be waiting until am to continue?

Thanks for the great links to marinetraffic! Those were very useful in timing as to when to leave here.
Hope you made it Andrew!

Didn't catch them coming past Jetty Park but was able to see them parked for the night. Was pretty cool.

Just saw the ISS go directly overhead in the bright twilight about 8:27pm Eastern Daylight Time, where I live just north of New York City. In 8x25 image stabilized binoculars, the ISS had a definite structure like three crossbars on a tree. It was right on time.
Even if you don't have an overflight tonight, the thin moon near Venus after sunset is a wonderful sight in itself !

They're parked in the second basin in the canal - if you go to the area across from there (I stopped at the end of Flounder Street) you can see them across the canal. Not sure if they'd be visible in the dark.

Freedom Star and Liberty Star docked for the night. Lighting wasn't the best for the camera and I didn't have my good one with me...looked a lot better in person.

Did anyone happen to have a radio scanner to listen in on chatter? What frequency(ies)?

Finally got around to looking at my pictures from the launch. Didn't have a great camera or anything, but here's a few of the images. Cropped them in for a better view, if anyone wants to see the originals I can put them up too.

the sound at the press site was certainly less intense than normal. lots of rumble, not as much ground vibration, and it dissipated very quickly. i'm curious if banana creek got the brunt of the sound, as that's the direction the wind seemed to be going.
There was enough vibration to set off plenty of car alarms in the VAB/LCC parking lot. But it was certainly less than "normal". Wind and temperature really effect the sound. I've been at the Banana Creek site when the sound was less impressive than I've heard at the Causeway. I have 23 other launches to compare 132's to, and I'd give it a B+ on the sound quality. At least from the LCC area.

There was also enough vibration to render a truck useless, but that's a story for another day...
While out there (media site) I didn't hear any car alarms but then again I wasn't really paying much attention to that. Would love to share photos but I really didn't try taking any as I wanted to watch her with my own eyes one last time.

Excellent launch, the first one I viewed in person since STS-91 when I was about 8 years old.
Got to the Sears parking lot 90 min. before launch and walked a few minutes to the Indian River. Much less of a wait than I was expecting!
See my photos here:
http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978241752Now my question is about viewing the
landing. Is the Max Brewer Bridge closed during the landing? What's the best place to view?

Didn't concentrate on photos either. This one was taken with a tiny point and shoot. But I did get some good HD video and a nice 24/96 audio recording.

Re: sound level from the launch
Did folks at the Causeway or the River sites see fish jump? Check your videos.
For example, you can see a fish jump out of the river in the Canon A40 movie I took for STS-125 from the Causeway - watch the lower left corner about 22 seconds into the movie.
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=11982.msg403452#msg403452No fish jumping at STS-132 could indicate lower sound levels.
PS: thanks for all of your videos from this launch, they brought chills reminding me of watching the STS125 launch!
