Has anyone got an opinion as to how long "an extended period of time" is? ie at what point do I start looking at gator Tours etc?
I guess that point is long gone. There are no Gator Tours tickets available at the moment.

From what I understand the VWR is just a "feel-good" measure to let you know everything it working, and to allow them to keep too many people from getting into the ticketing system at once. No ticket sales until 9am.
I certainly don't "feel good" my heart is going like a bee's wings

Well, at least since the sale starts at 9:00 sharp, it may help to weed out some of that pesky competition that have responsible and respectable 9:00-5:00 jobs.

If you refresh, it tells you not to and it will do it automatically.

Does anyone know if this same KSC site will give us the opportunity to purchase tickets to watch from the visitors center, when the causeway tickets sale out?
That is my backup plan. Then 3rd of course is to watch from titusville.

For what it's worth, I was told that the powers that be are working on adding additional viewing areas for the final launches. I'm not sure if the changes will be seen on 132, but word on the street is that they're trying to push as hard as possible to have more viewing tickets available to the public.

Yes, if LTT sells out you have slightly longer to try for KSC viewing.
