What exactly is the difference between Gator tours tickets and KSC tickets?
Because the KSC are hard to order, while you can easily purchase a Gator ticket.
I've decided to order a Gator ticket. As I understand, we will drive to KSC, visis the VC, and then drive to the causeway?
Can anyone give me more information?

I just ordered the GATOR tour also. Essentially it is the same launch tickets at the caseway that they distribute throught the Visitor Center but they handle them and distibute them once you get on the bus. The tickets from KSC Visitor Center arrive to the Tour Service by armored vehicles a week before launch. You also get a 2 day pass to the Visitor Center included. I did this to garuntee my ticket at the Causeway.

Yes, those Gator buses leave right away from the causeway, there is no way to stop off at the VC to attempt to purchase the LTT tickets. Best to get Gator ones for the causeway and KSC viewing ones as backup so if it is scrubbed you can indeed come back on your own and at least watch from the VC.
Thanks for the answer!
Now I get it.
I didn't know that the Gator buses leave right away and there is no way to purchase LTT tickets again. I will keep trying to get the LTT tickets from the KSC Visitor Complex website because Gator is too risky.

guessing they are using IIS webserver. Can be very finicky if the load suddenly increases. Can often kill the webserver until it is restarted.
Heh. What a surprise

I would even help them fix it for a couple VIP tickets, but I am sure Delaware North is on top of it.
EDIT: I recently crashed one of my production IIS servers with a new vulnerability testing tool that I have. Exhibited almost identical symptoms to the KSC website. And even once the high traffic ceases, the webserver continues to act the same until it is rebooted.

Then why don't they go as fast as the tickets at the KSC site. You can order at Gator at this moment without problems, but the site from KSC blacks out.
Why does everyone want the KSC tickets?

I ordered a Gator-Ticket but I'll try to get a KSC ticket, too.
Gator for the first attempt and KSC as Backup
with the chance of getting one for the third....
It's a "once in a liftetime" experience
and the tickets are the smallest amount of the cost of this trip.
- no risks - I will not save money at the most important part of all.

I know Gator tickets are non-refundable, but are they transferable?

For STS-131 I had already purchased two Gator Tour tickets when I received word from my congressman's office that my name had come up on the "wait list".
I called Gator Tours to see what my options were, and surprisingly they offered to give me a refund. There's no guarantee, but I wanted to mention this. The Gator Tour tickets sold out the next day. They know that for these last few launches the tickets are guaranteed to sell out, so perhaps they being a bit more flexible.

Thanks for that. Good to know.
But if I do get KSC tickets, I'll look at selling the Gator ticket here first.

They should not have any problem selling any tickets they have available.

I see a lot talk about gator, what about florida dolphin tours? According to the ksc site they are also approved. Are they ok to purchase from? They appear to have the same policies as gator, just not nearly as many pickup locations.
Thx!

Okay. I was thinking that Gator was giving a lousy experience, because to be honest, I don't think 115 dollar is expensive for an experience like this.

It isn't expensive when you think of how much you spend on travel costs, room & board, souveniers....
It's the WHOLE REASON you are there. Live off of hot dogs & KD if you must, but go all out on the viewing!
