Was that a loose cable or something that was moving around (bottom of the picture) just before Docking ?JJ..
I tried to see Progress last night. ISS was visible, but Progress was not following it. Due to the recent sunset, I probably would have missed Progress if it had been leading ISS, though, which is probably what happened. This is a little confusing to me, since I always thought that Progress or Soyuz "catch up" to ISS during a rendezvous, but, come to think of it, they are in lower orbits, which are faster, so actually, they are ahead of the station, and catch up from ahead.
Anyone noticed that Kurs failed .... again?
It's is only the third time that Kurs fails to reach the ISS (Soyuz TMA-5, Progress M-67, Progress M-05M).TORU was used once more (Soyuz TMA-14), but for problems not directly linked to Kurs. And there was also the problem with 2AO-VKA antenna of Progress M-58...http://www.kosmonavtika.com/vaisseaux/kours/kours.html
