On Novosti Kosmonavtiki forum it has been revealed that Soyuz-U2 76024355 was used to launch Progress M-23. However it's blok-A 2nd stage was fueled not with syntin but kerosene; and the rocket was referred to as a Soyuz-U. Visual evidence is provided that the rocket still featured the additional insulation on the 1st stage boosters of a Soyuz-U2.
