YG-7 YaoGan Weixing-7 CZ-2D launch - December 9, 2009

• Once more: what's the need to lable several identical Yaogan Weixin satellites with different Jianbing identifiers?
  
  My personal understanding is as follows:
  JB-5  CZ-4B  Taiyuan  SAST  SAR  YW-1, -3, -8
  JB-6  CZ-2D  Jiuquan  DFH  Optical  YW-2, -4, -7
  JB-7  CZ-2C  Taiyuan  SAST  SAR  YW-6
  JB-8  CZ-4B  Taiyuan  CAST Optical  YW-5

• Yaogan Weixing 8 proved to be not a copy of any of the previous birds...

• Interesting close-up images of YG-6 and 7 issued by Xian Satellite Control Center on philatelic souvenir covers. Accidentally the chinese inscriptions seem to be confused.

  It is more likely that an image of Yaogan-5 was erroneously used.
