Will prioritize return to campout so airlock astronauts can return to sleep as soon as possible.

Had to step away. But sounds like they are working through normal post alarm procedures. Had two false fire alarms (station airlock and in Columbus).

EV1/EV2 had to leave airlock during fire procedures. Went on masks to keep pre breathe. They were off masks for 2 minutes. (I believe due to O2 valve not open yet).

Atlantis given a go to return to sleep. No change in wake up time. ISS caution and warning is inhibited in Atlantis (ground is monitoring).

Had to check the LIOH canister - Ground asked to check if they removed the cover prior to installation... apparently they didn't... They called down that they had now removed the cover and re-installed.. Atlantis crew going back to bed now..

Go to sleep, right. I would have a hard time to.

They are planning to go to exercise pre breathe (takes too long to get back to regular airlock mode) I think it was a couple hours. So back to old style exercise mode to purge nitrogen from bloodstream of EV1/EV2

Extra 30 minutes of sleep is suggested to Scorch (and he agrees). This will let EVA continue to keep all pre planned objectives but maybe not the 30 minutes of get aheads.

Why doesn't the PAO shut up so we can hear the air-to-ground?

Had to step away again but now PAO reports Atlantis crew is go to sleep again and ISS is still working through the post alarm procedures. Crew will sleep in extra 30 minutes. Spaceflightnow.com reports that the EVA duration will likely be shortened.

This seems to be happening only when there is A/G Comm. It might be by design, or maybe I'm just too cynical.

I don't think it is an intentional effort to hide anything as it happens a lot during the missions even when everything is "boring." Some of the voices in the background when they are talking may have been the control room - not air to ground. Nevertheless, I also find it annoying when they talk over the air to ground loop.

MRM-2, the prankster module.
"You sleep yet? Dar? I wake you now!! HA HA!"
How ironic. If I recall, the installation of new U.S. solar arrays during STS-117 caused a power spike that affected Russian computers onboard the ISS and caused them to crash...and this time around, the installation of a new Russian module is affecting systems onboard U.S. and European modules.
Another meaningless observation: Atlantis was the orbiter for 117 too.

Nope. The install didn't break the computers, it was all a coincidence (and a lucky one since the station would have been in trouble without STS-117 docked.)
