Seeing that last image from the aft-looking camera, my bets are on a burn-through of either the Merlin nozzle or the structure.

Someone wanted a video - I have one, not too bad until the end (quality wise).  I could upload it to my webspace, but I can't afford the inevitable rush of downloads.

If Chris can do anything with it, I will be happy to send it

Looks like an impressive fireball forming in the last frame! FTS was supposed to just terminate the thrust, not to destroy the vehicle, right? Apparently the engine blew it, literally. Bit odd, AFAIK they tested and retested it pretty thoroughly, that's why the launch date kept slipping at one time.

Please do send it to me (either upload it and send me the link by e-mail) or mail it to me if it's not more than say 10mb. Either way and I'll upload it to the FTP and place it on the Video section of the site.

I have sent it.  I have chopped it, so it starts 10 seconds before launch and stops when my webcast failed.

So that we don't get killed on bandwidth with all the guests on the site, I'll upload it into the FTP section. To all the guests, that section is for forum members only. It's free, we only use your e-mail address to send you a password, it's never used again, no spam etc.

Great video (while being very sad).

Pretty much shows what clearly went wrong.

It definitely looks kile something went very wrong - seems like the blanket didn't separate either, although I don't think it was the primary cause.
It looks like a nozzle failure to me.

I agree, nothing comes off during liftoff. Onboard camera shows some of it flapping around, pieces come off and then it falls to the back, a few seconds after that something starts to shoot sideways (Merlin fails?).

Thanks for sharing that.  It's disappointing, but they'll learn from this and I wish them good luck in their next campaign.
