Yeah, just get on with the countdown. If the stage hits the boat that'll teach the captain not to loiter in the impact range next time!

Looks a lovely place for some windsurfing and diving, - what a holiday that would be - capped with a falcon 9 launch :).

Damned recovery boat :(

Hopefully we're 10 minutes away from coming out of the hold....to allow for a 10:10pm ZULU launch.

I know rules are rules, but why couldn't the countdown continue while the boat moved toward a safe area? I'm assuming the boat could be clear by the time the countdown reached zero.

Of course there's also the chance that the captain was right where he was told to and somebody else above in the command chain fkd up royally.

Maybe he just wanted to closer to the action or the limit line has changed from last launch?

Well, they are pretty close to the point where their crew has to leave the launch island and they start pumping the LOX.  At that point, the LOX starts to boil off, and we could run out of LOX.

Wishful, but highly unlikley as the Range tracks everything and should have a pretty good and accurate position of the RV.

Most likely because if the engines on the boat suffered a breakdown, there would be no way of moving it.  If that happens and your 5 minutes from launch, thats not as desireable to completely stop from than from 75 minutes.  According to the countdown schedule, the rocket isn't even fueled yet.

You would think the Range would catch the boat as it entered into the limit area..

Pick up clock at 21:15Z, T=1:15min.  Extended clock to miss the second COLO with the ISS.

Expecting to pick up the count at 2115 ZULU. T-1 hour, 15 minutes at that time. This is to clear the COLA with ISS.
