Great idea with the Egg carton to hold the pieces.
Where did you get that from ?

Thanks, been doing that for a number of years.  Great way to set the subassemblies for the glue to dry (the styrofoam has excellent traction).
Another good reason to keep a few egg cartons.

Made some more progress today of my model; got most of the painting
along with two of four strapons installed.  In looking at the pics below,
I realize that I should have done some work on the body tube to hide
the spirals before beginning the paint job.  Too late to do anything about that now.

Almost done!  Just a few minor touch ups and installation of the recovery system, and it's ready for launch.

Final detailing done!  These should be the last pics of this model; the next time I post pics is on launch day.

Yep- got a ton of the SA-5 and SA-6 thru 10 Block IIs. SA-5 has always been one of my favorites, so it was the 4th one that I kitted. www.drzooch.com for details.

HI,
Another quick Skylab comment ..
Im still making the "moon port" model and am adding the Apollo CM/SM,however as soon as I started the Apollo I noticed its looking too big,
Using a few other of my plastic kits it seams the Apollo on the "moon port" page is 1.4x too big,
I have reprinted the pages I need but to 70% as that looks OK,
all the scale guides are the same as from the Skylab pages,so has the model maker got the scale of the Apollo wrong ?

Hi

Few years ago, I built few models and now I want to start again. I want to build ISS paper model, and I would appreciate if someone could point me on a website with ISS paper model because I've been searching and found nothing.

Thanks! But, I have one question - are models on axmpaperspacemodels and marscenter the same scale?

Alfonso's (amx) ISS models are 1/144 and 1/100 scale.

Raimondo's (Mars center) ISS model is 1/100 scale

If your wanting to look at some of the ISS builds have a look here http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156655

Some of the guys on zealot are using both of Alfonso's and Raimondo's parts in 1/100 scale, putting them together into one model. Some great build of the ISS on there and the guys are very helpful.

I took a trip down to DC yesterday for the "Train Day" events at Union Station, and just happened to come across this while walking through the mall afterward!

One question for those who build Saturn V 1/48 scale. I found only first stage Greelt's models but, where do I find second and third stage?

I've only recently joined L2 and I have to say what a wonderful resource this site is and makes keeping track of shuttle and ISS missions a lot easier. I'm especially intrerested in the photography returned from the missions, not only from an aesthetic point of view but as research information for model making. I've been working on the Inter Mountain Railways ISS kit for the last 10 years and am building it as elements are launched. My other interest is special effects photography and I combine the two. I thought you might be interested in a couple of photos.

OMG, beautiful images. I don't know if this is CGI or real image. Very good, what program did you use to make this model?

Thanks very much guys. The model is a real 1/144 scale model, not CGI

I generally photograph the model against a blue background (apart from the first one of the three photos) and cut it out in Photoshop and compose the photo from there.

And as we are all glued to STS-125, here are a couple of HST ones.

Some more here if you are interested;

I'm still getting my bearings on this massive site, but I see there are a lot of brilliant models on this thread. Well done to everyone!

Keith
