I hope to watch this launch today, can anyone tell me what time it will be in Central Daylight Time? I have seen a few different times and now it is 23:10 Moscow time, that is at 11:10 am CDT? Is that correct? This is a very cool looking rocket! It just looks "Russian" even without the letters on the side!

T0 time is CDT is 2:10 pm CDT.

30-06-2009 Launch Day at Baikonur

Baikonur: State Board gives `go` for prop filling operation and launch of the Proton-M rocket with Breeze-M upper stage and Sirius-Radio FM5 communication satellite launch.

Baikonur space port - Prelaunch operations with Proton-M LV, Breeze-M upper stage and communication spacecraft Sirius-Radio FM5 are almost over.

Roscosmos expert groups carry out final operations with the rocket on the launch pad today. Spacecraft onboard system tests, monitoring of the launcher`s paramaters are performed. Systems of the launch pad are prepared for prop filling operations.

At 3pm the State Board will decide about prop filling and launch readiness.
The launch is scheduled for 23:10 Moscow time.

I'm curious as to how this GEO satellite is going to supplement the three "Tundra orbit" high inc birds. Is it intended to carry the same traffic as those satellites? (That's the impression I get from the media advisory.)

23:10:00 is Moscow Daylight Saving Time, therefore GMT +4

There is not much going on on the pad that we can see, but there is lot of activity on the sound feed toghether with the image feed (it helps if you know russian!!!)
