Weather in Florida dynamic. Crosswind right at the limit, showers in area. Next decision point just prior to payload bay door closing. Plan is to press on to that point.

Good spot. They just reconfirmed that with Scooter.

Hold off on radiator bypass to FES - step before PLBD closure. Waiting on next weather check....30 mins from now.

Big picture:
No decision yet. Lost redundacy to a TDRS sat. Another failure and we'll lose communications.
Still looking at weather, holding at bypass to FES.
Do not proceed past if we lose comm. Might lose comm for an hour if we lose the TDRS, which is on the pass coming up in two mins.

No decision on landing yet.
Have lost redundancy with failure of TDRS 171 so next failure may result in long comms interruptions.
Atlantis not to go past RAD bypass step in checklist without specific confirmation. In absence of comms, hold before that step.

Atlantis told to stay in VERNS. On the handover to the TDRS that's on redundancy right now. Was a two minute handover and nothing heard since.

Steve Lindsey isn't taking off in a T-38 until the weather improves. Not looking all that likely for today so far!

Comm check, they LOST TDRS 171, moved to 174 - which has worked, but will only be for 8 minutes. Working to extend it, otherwise their will be lengthy loss of comms.
WAVE OFF FIRST OPPORTUNITY.

Comms restore.
Lost further redundancy on TDRS 171. Working on using 174. Wave off on landing on this attempt.
Remain in VERNS and no backout required.
