Leroy Cain noted in the current briefing that the STS-400 LON support has been released as of this morning.
KSC is now going to process that vehicle for STS-127.

Having some issues with the PPOV downlink. (They were testing this before the event with the Senate subcommittee.) CapCom was just saying that the ground thinks they'll be able to record the signal on-board, but we might not see much live.

Missed the MMT, so thanks for that note Philip. That explains the standdown note from some of the KSC engineers, which didn't really seem to make sense at the time (as the plan was to hold until after the deorbit burn), but does make sense as we're down to a regular end of mission now, and they don't have a vehicle standing by on the pad.

Just called up that they're now getting good HUD (PPOV) video, asking if the crew did anything. (It was intermittent earlier with the crew wiggling one of the cables.) Crew asked if the ground wanted to disconnect/reconnect the Y-cable, but CapCom said not to.

Atlantis, flying with an attitude of aft first - or as one of my friends that's turned up said "backwards??"

- over Mexico.

Leroy Cain noted that given where consumables on Atlantis stood, it was getting to the point where they would run out before a rescue vehicle could get there, anyway. Waiting until today, though, allowed them to do FCS checkout and reverify that Atlantis is ready to come home.

Per the ground tracks - The track for the second opportunity would bring Atlantis almost directly over my hometown of San Angelo, which about three hours southeast of where I'm currently located. If the call is made to be "go" for landing on this rev, I'll be heading south very quickly to get some video.
I'm in San Angelo. STS-119 flew directly overhead right around sunset at the end of Orbit 1 in March, and I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of Atlantis passing over enroute to a KSC landing.

Call down about a Starboard relief valve in the Airlock that's refusing to cycle? EECOM looking into it.
Crew told to stay away from the valve, not to cycle it, EECOM have good indications on it.

Likewise. If the weather is forecast go for the second rev, I'll be in the truck heading south. San Angelo would be ideal, but Big Spring or Sterling City would work as well.

Ha! Mass pretending to be an interviewer, asking Scooter questions.
"No autoland on this, I get to land."
Talking about his Naval landings.
"I feel great, I feel pumped up."
Mass remembers STS-109 where Scotter also was pumped up.
Mass: "I want our familes to know that this is one cool guy and he'll get us home."

That was one of the last things to be sent down on Ku.
Mass said he enjoyed it as it keeps the crew loose. Says he hopes people on the ground like them.
CAPCOM says they look great on TV, but better in person on the ground.
