Computer Geek Question: Is all this mission control software 100% custom, or are they using STK as a framework?
The former.

CAPT Altman must be having a ball doing all this manual flying of ATLANTIS!

Sounds like they are little behind on the HST commanding, so they are going to drop the commanding to roll the telescope (42 degrees) and Scott Altman will change the orbiter yaw to account for that...the commanding would have required approx. 16 minutes...
Correction: the maneuver would have required 16 minutes (commanding probably not so long).

A trajectory mess:
The actual trajectory is probably fairly smooth, but the onboard state is diverging periodically (the crew is periodically fixing that by reinitializing the covariance matrix). Raw radar data looks a little noisy as well. HHL marks aren't downlisted so that's why MCC is asking for the crew to voice them marks every now and then.

I was thinking the same thing. It appears to be a lot different than trips to the ISS.

Hi guys, nice following this!! Just a quick question: Where can I find the Flight Data Files of STS-125? Searched on the usual NASA site but can only find the previous missions, not the 125...Anyone? Thanks!

Thanks. It looks good - I now notice the 3-pane 3D view is running on an old SGI IRIX - go OpenInventor! I'm always curious about space flight HW/Software.
Geek mode off.

"Geek mode off"? You are in the *wrong* forum for that.

Commanding from the STOCC should be almost complete now...Atlantis yaw maneuver should take about 3.5 minutes...

3 extra minutes for yaw maneuver
