Not turned off, just in a different mode. It's being used for rendezvous radar vice comms.

This is often asked so I'll explain and is often a point of confusion.
The Ku antenna is also the rendezvous radar. It can't provide comms and work as the rendezvous radar at the same time. Currently it's tracking HST providing range, angles and rate information.
