that was new to me:

Its a little blurry ..... maybe there's a higher rez version out there somewhere.

I'll give it a go (my best shot, but I can't read some of the words - too blurry)

Top left corner:

СБЛИЖ (сближение) = approach (i.e. reducing the distance). You can also see this mode selected in the bottom line in the middle.
2Ф14 - 2F14 = current operation mode
ТОПЛИВО = Propellant
584 = 584 ;) amount of propellant left
0:00.17.6 = timer

= Issued command GK +10sec (don't know what it means)

Top right corner:
No connection

3x2 indicator field:

П/Д = P/D (don't know)
ОТВОД = avoidance
SSVP mode executed
SSVP = docking & internal transfer mechanism)

ПОДВОД = approach
ИНДИКАТ РЕЖИМ БЦВМ (индикатор режима БЦВМ) = indicator of on-board control (computer?) system mode

Transparant below:
Chaika operations allowed
(thank you Anik! Chaika-3 = motion control system)

Time of docking
ПРИЧАЛ = docking
ЗАВИСАНИЕ = (literally - floating) = Station keeping

Bottom half - we have russian letters in alphabetic order. Cosmonauts use them to select different modes of operations and indications to be presented on the screen.

КСД СУ (клапан сброса давления стыковочный узел) = depress valve (pressure reduction valve) in docking mechanism
КВД БО-СУ (КВД = клапан выравнивания давления, БО = бытовой отсек, СУ = стыковочный узел) = pressure equalisation valve between life compartment and docking mechanism
КВД СУ-ОБ = pressure equalisation valve between docking mechanism and orbital module
КВД БО ЗАКР = pressure equalisation valve in life compartment is closed
? ? ? ? КСД БО ОТКЛ (not clear) = depress valve in life compartment is off (switched off)
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? docking (reset)
SSVP mode
(SSVP = docking & internal transfer mechanism)
ФАРА = docking light

then below we have a row of numbers

bottom line:
Ф1 = F1
РЕЖИМ = mode
РО ДК (don't know. РО is most likely рабочий отсек - work compartment)
СБЛИЖ (сближение) = approach
МАНЕВР = maneuver
КОНТР (контроль) = control
СПУСК = descent
К.СУС (most likely контроль системы управления спуском) = Control of descent system control

РАЗРЕШ ОПЕРАЦИЙ ЧАЙКА (разрешение операций чайка) (not sure about the last word - it doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone know what is the last word there?) = Allowed operations seagull

Chaika is the name of the motion control and navigation system.

A docking photo from Doug Wheelock via Twitter (attached).

And here's a nice behind-the-scenes look at the pre-launch process from Ron Garan's "Fragile Oasis" blog.

Thank you Anik!

I guess Чайка Chaika (Chaika-3 to be precise) is this SUD system.

Update:
Found this link: http://www.cosmoworld.ru/spaceencyclopedia/publications/index.shtml?index_tg.html

several documents in Russian and this one in English:
http://www.cosmoworld.ru/spaceencyclopedia/publications/mks_eng.pdf

describe control consoles quite well.
Based on this doco I was able to decypher more of the blurry bits. I will update my original post.

Not much improvement, but here's a couple of slightly higher res shots of the new display.

It is the motion control and navigation system SUDN

Was there ever any definitive explanation of why Kaleri got out of his seat prior to launch, and what he was working on?
