Chris,
Thank you for the information, it is very appreciated. I am just more than a bit disappointed after waiting my whole life to see a launch and spending over $1,000 on plane tickets only to miss it by a few hours. I'll probably be somewhere over Texas when Atlantis goes up now.

Sure thing, and I know the frustration with the "NET" term...it's just how it's done. Technically it's planning purpose talk for the flows and they can - and have - moved up and down as required.
HOWEVER, remember there isn't an official or internal change of the launch date yet, this is still being evaluated. They very well may find they can't do the 11th and will stick with the 12th. It's just looking more likely as of a few hours ago that they will make the 11th, and they really want to allow for a switch to the 11th to allow for three launch attempts before handing the range over for the Delta IV launch. They are close to making the switch, pending a green light from a few outstanding evaluations. Those outstanding evaluations may be no go for the 11th, we'll soon know.
And even if they do go with the 11th, just takes a scrub and you're back on track with your plane tickets, and anything could happen with the pad flow between now and launch.
Anyway, I know there's a lot of people in the same boat with travel plans etc, so I promise any launch date changes will be copied over from L2 within minutes (if I've posted it) or asap if a manager posts it etc.

Atlantis has suffered some slight damage during processing, writing it up, it does not appear to be too serious.
