Were those camera flashes I just saw?  Why takes pictures if the hatch is already closed?

It looks by the flashes that they are taking a lot of pictures.  Maybe some will be posted on NASA of the crew in the Discovery.

Were those camera flashes I just saw?  Why takes pictures if the hatch is already closed?

Could also serve as hatch closeout images for documentation. NASA photographs everything in that regard.

it wasnt closed just a few min ago.. you could still see discovery crew clearly at the other end.

Are we sure that the hatch is closed?

There's two hatches, one on the shuttle side and one on the Station side of the PMA. We've not heard confirmation that both hatches are closed yet.
