More comms issues, it seems to be a theme for this mission, along with broken exercise equipment.

Orbit 1 coming on shift.

Absolutely no chance of spelling the wake up song!

Orbit 1 coming on shift.

Absolutely no chance of spelling the wake up song!

According to the official NASA shuttle website it's "Que Bandera Bonita" and being played for Joseph Acaba.

Morning everyone :) Looking forward to a great EVA and S6 installation! Today's execute package is confirming the location of the damage we were guessing yesterday:

Online eeergo

Also, today's timelines (wondering how they will manage with the TVIS gyro wire snapped for exercise...):
-DaviD-

Online eeergo

Some details about the transfers to be performed today:

• Sandy & Koichi: Resupply Item 4, 17 & Return Item 722: Transfer Glacier and IVA
handle per Glacier Transfer activity
• Sandy & Ricky: Resupply Items 5 & 5.1: Transfer Bag E and new UPA DA per UPA
Unpack & Transfer activity
• Mike: Resupply Item 16 & Return Item 711: Transfer CD stowage cases per
OPSLAN-CD/MEDIA-XFER activity
• Sandy: Return Item 726: Transfer microbial sample per EHS-WATER-T+2 activity

And there's also been a change in jettisoning direction for the thermal covers during today's EVA, due to the delay in the mission's launch:

Swanny, Ricky & Joe – Good luck on today’s EVA! The team is excited to see you outside and will be watching eagerly. We have one update for you: The jettison of the SSU and ECU shrouds should be ISS Forward-Nadir. Currently the procedure does not match due to late P&I [pen and ink] changes.

P&I the following:
Pg 7-42 step 14 line 2 (both crew): (retrograde, forward-nadir)
Pg 7-43 step 21 line 2 (both crew): (retrograde, forward-nadir)

the TV schedule shows a "S6 PHOTOVOLTAIC RADIATOR DEPLOYMENT" at 03/23:00. they arent deploying the photovoltaic wings today, are they? NASA site claims that is on FD8. The conjunction of "photovoltaic" and "radiator"  words is confusing me. Heat radiators are not photovoltaic. and Solar arrays (photovoltaic) are not radiators. Or is this just a typo?

On the first page, re: Bungee Exercise Contraints: I'm intrigued to learn what the "Good Morning Exercise" is, can anyone please explain?  :)

Hey, less of the "guessing", you actually spotted it on the RPM! :)

No, what they are deploying is the radiator. It's called 'photovoltaic' to distinguish it from the main S1/P1 radiators, because these are only to cool the arrays and its electronics. The radiator must be deployed as soon as possible to allow for heat dissipation of the soon-to-be-connected lines between the rest of the truss and S6. Of course, the SAWs cannot be deployed until appropiate cooling is achieved for them.

Hey, less of the "guessing", you actually spotted it on the RPM! :)

This should give me some CV credentials ;) Hehe, thanks for the credit.

The latest version of the NASA TV schedule (Rev E) is available at:

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/mission_schedule.html

However, it does not show SAW deploy on FD 6 yet.

I believe I heard Mike say the EVA preps are slightly behind. DPC starting.
