Thanks for sharing, that's a nice one (the more orbiter in a patch, the better, as far as I'm concerned ;) )

Nice looking patch, with the ISS and all its arrays post STS-119.

The Swedes on here will be happy. Dominated by the colors of the Swedish flag. I like it.

It really stands out due to its essentially two color nature and a lack of black, which has really dominated recent patches

Thumbs up. Might not stand out when the crew are in their blue overalls, but it's very nicely designed.

I understand the argument about the light colors, but I do like this patch. Good design.

Do we know who designed it? Much better than some of the others, though nothing beats the STS-125/400 unofficial patch :)

I'm not one for the lighter colors, but I see what they are doing there with them, the overall layout of items is nice

What do the three lines to the star represent? I've seen that a couple of times now.

Two good pathces in a row! I do like the emphasis on the Sweedish flag colors. It really shows how multicultural space flight has become.

For those who want the patch to be a bit darker ;)

I had a chance today to see the version of the STS-128 patch posted in the crew offices and saw that their version was far different than the one I posted earlier  - and is actually very close to nathan.moeller's tweaked version!

I checked on the jpg that I posted earlier, and it turns out that it was not the correct version of the patch. Below is the correct copy. As interesting as the pale blue was, I like this one much better!

Nate - you didn't tell us you worked on crew patches at NASA! You sly devil ;)

I really like this one.

As much as circular patches are easier to mount next to each other in picture frames or a book (maybe I'll post a thread about this in the future) the strange shapes are more interesting.

We architecture people always like to have backups in case our primary goals fall through.  Graphic design is mine ;)

Anyway, just for grins, here's a side-by-side comparison of my edited version and the actual artwork.  I got pretty close.  Mine is the one on the left and is a bit darker than the actual version.  In case anyone is wondering, I didn't edit the patch.  I just darkened the original image posted here.

By the way, I'm surprised we haven't heard any protests from the Europeans.  If you look closely at ISS in the image, you can see that Columbus got the shaft in the design process.  Whoops :)
