04-05-2009 Progress M-66 Leaves the Station

Today ISS-19 crew finalizes accomodation of the disposed-of cargo in the vehicle. Tomorrow, the crew will prepare Progress M-66 for the autonomous flight, close transfer hatches and perform their leak-check. The Progress has been attached to the Pirs docking port since Feb. 13.
At 15:15 GMT, on May 6, the command to undock will be issued. Departure of the Progress from the Pirs docking compartment is to occur in 3 min after the `go`. The autonomous mission will last until May 18. During this stage, Plasma-Progress geophysical experiment is to be carried out. Then, following the commands from the Mission Control Center, the vehicle will reenter the atmosphere over the specified area of the Pacific ocean.
