Some really great pictures in the latest reports, including the adapter to the Soyuz vehicule. A question too: barring problems with the modernized version, will this be the last unmodernized Progress to fly?

Oh! What's Vesti's coverage like? I'm assuming it'll be shortly before launch just for the first part of first stage? I'm trying to work out if this is worth making a live coverage thread.

No idea, I think the first time a live Vesti coverage was provided was with M-65, and I lost the event...

Perhaps anik knows more details, I've been searching in Novosti and Vesti but nothing obvious came up.

Works fine for me with Firefox and the WMP plugin in this link: http://www.vesti.ru/videos?vid=onair
That works for me in IE. Question is if I can stay awake

Same thing here with FF 3.06 with WMP plug-in. No buffering issues or anything. Great quality for a net broadcast! Beats Yahoo!'s NASA TV 1.2 MB/s feed by miles!

According to my records the previous launch of a Progress vehicle from LC31 PU-6 was on October 27th, 1992 when a 11A511U2 Soyuz-U2 (?15000-061) launched Progress M-15 to the Mir space station.

Yes. in 1992 there were three Propress lunches from Pad 31/6, Progress M-13 in June, Progress M-14 in August and finally Progress M-15 on October 27.

That's when the LV changes from Soyuz-FG to Soyuz-2 since LC-1/5 isn't compatible with Soyuz-2.

Usually, the launcher integration is made in one day.
But for this flight, it seems that it has been made in two steps :
- integration of KGCh with 3rd stage on 6th february
- integration on 3rd and 2nd stages on 7th february
Is this right ? And why ?

04-05-2009 Progress M-66 Leaves the Station
http://www.roscosmos.ru/NewsDoSele.asp?NEWSID=6130Progress M-66 integrated mission with the International Space Station is almost over.
Today ISS-19 crew finalizes accomodation of the disposed-of cargo in the vehicle. Tomorrow, the crew will prepare Progress M-66 for the autonomous flight, close transfer hatches and perform their leak-check. The Progress has been attached to the Pirs docking port since Feb. 13.
At 15:15 GMT, on May 6, the command to undock will be issued. Departure of the Progress from the Pirs docking compartment is to occur in 3 min after the `go`. The autonomous mission will last until May 18. During this stage, Plasma-Progress geophysical experiment is to be carried out. Then, following the commands from the Mission Control Center, the vehicle will reenter the atmosphere over the specified area of the Pacific ocean.
