I can show you a lot of pics with ppl rope-walking on their hands. That don't make the such ideas more sane and safe. Using parachuteless landing for manned flights, are same crazy as jumping from waterfall in the barrel. There is no thrusted landing system with same statistic of success as parachute landing and will not appear in this century. Even a such simple system as Soyuz' DMPs making mistakes.

BTW Soyuz DMP system does not have anything with parashute (DMP or Engines for Soft Landing are responsible for the decceleration on the last meter of descent).
There was only 1 incident recorded involved DMP failure - landing of Soyuz 35 on Jun 3, 1980 (crew: Farkas, Kubasov, and it was not a catastrophic event).
For your information, there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between Souyz landing module (2,8 metric tonn) and proposed vehicle landing module (~12 tonnes). Size does matter and in this scenario parashute system might be not scaled well.
Do not worry - this is still a concept, not a real spacecraft.
