However, the first suborbital flight wil be in about a year's time, according to last Branson's talk to CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2011/06/16/exp.nr.branson.space.tourism.cnn.I remember earlier promise from last autumn was 2011/2012.
Have RM2 vibrations been confirmed, or are we still at the conjecture stage? Seems to me any such problems would have also cropped up in the RM2 tests for Dream Chaser and been documented in the CCDev 2 document dumps.

So yes, we are still at the conjecture stage. I do not know much about the rocket being used for Dream Chaser. Are they intending to use RM2 as well? I would have thought different spacecraft = different rocket characteristics. I don't see why the problem with RM2 for SpaceShipTwo should indicate systematic problems for all SNC projects.
>Editor's Note: Sierra Nevada is the main contractor for Scaled Composites' RocketMotorTwo, which will power SpaceShipTwo on suborbital flights. Both vehicles are using the same propulsion system. This probably explains why Scaled Composite and Virgin Galactic officials are predicting powered test flights of SpaceShipTwo in 2011.>

Though it does only say they are "using the same propulsion system", which could be referring to the hybrid technology and not necessarily the exact same rocket.HMXHMX's post also makes me doubtful that it's the exact same motor for both craft. Of course, now I'm interested in knowing if HMXHMX can shed some light on where he picked up that info? Just came across this file (maybe this has already been discussed on the Dream Chaser thread). For the Dream Chaser, SNC performed three firings in one day. Doesn't sound like RM2 to me.
If you zoom in on the nose of SS2 in that pages pic you can see the new winglets.
