Will be launch of Nimiq 4 delayed because of problems with Briz-KM ?
Why? So called "Briz-KM problem" in GOCE case were glitches in ukrainian PCB in the guidance block. Should be cured with replacement on the copy. It can raise quality control issue in Kharkov, but can't delay other missions for Breez.

Andrey, I've noticed on the Russian Launch Plan thread that the date of this mission is September 18 (TBD). Why is TBD now? Was there any problem with the preparations for launch?

Was there any problem with the preparations for launch?
I have heard there is failure in control system of Proton-M rocket. Some equipments need to be replaced. I do not know for now if it will affect launch date.

Does anyone have an idea if this is the same problem that led to the postponement of the rockot with the GOCE launch?

If they move the launch only 1-2 day(s) right, it's looks like something electrical in LV, not Breeze. They need more than one day to deal with Breeze' issue. But official statement was unclear: "...the failure occurred in one of the launcher`s control system units. Back-up unit is to replace the failed one..."

Detailed information about Nimiq 4 launch from Khrunichev: http://coopi.khrunichev.ru/eng/pl_pusk.htm
So another 5-burn Breeze-M mission profile

... I am still waiting for a new 3-burn mission profile after the 5-month stand-by period apparently devoted to secure it.

This received internally this am:
Nimiq 4 is on schedule for launch today at 5:48 p.m. EDT. The anomalous avionics unit on the launch vehicle has been replaced and successfully tested.
The attached Mission Overview outlines what we can expect from liftoff to spacecraft separation which will occur approximately 9 hours after launch.

Andrey, I love the coopi.khrunichev.ru site but the best bit is the "NewsPosting', e.g.
http://coopi.khrunichev.ru/2008/inm4f3/inm_e03.htmThe way it's presented implies it's available in real time too, but there doesn't ever seem to be a link on the current launch, only the old archived ones - am I missing something?
best wishes, Jonathan

Jonathan, they are publishing these reports after liftoff with little delays
here. But you can receive them by email without delays after successful registration
here.

Mission Successful!http://www.ilslaunch.com/mission-successful-2/"We have had a successful mission with the Proton M Breeze M rocket, carrying the Nimiq 4 satellite built by EADS Astrium for Telesat. We have had confirmation that the satellite separated from the vehicle on schedule at 3:00 am Eastern time, or 7:00 am GMT, 9 hours and 11 minutes after liftoff.
Everything occurred as planned with ignition, shutdown and separation of the Proton’s first three stages. Then the Breeze M upper stage with the satellite continued the mission, igniting five times, then releasing the satellite into transfer orbit"
