Looks like Mike Linebach is telling the Japanese something about the Shuttle.

What's that mark to the right of the nose?  (our left)

EDIT: Nevermind.  PAO answered it.  Air data probe.

A great shot down the side of Discovery, putting plugs into the rear RCS:

5,735,000 mile trip in two weeks.

I'm enjoying this relaxed talk between Allard and Chris. Not scripted and there's some fun facts on the hardware, such as the People Mover from Dulles Airport is now used at Edwards for shuttle landings.

Fantastic coverage everyone here on NSF for this mission, thank you, welcome home Discovery and the crew of STS-124! :)

Does anyone remember the last time a shuttle mission launched on its very first attempt (no scrubs) and in the same flight landed on its very first attempt (no wave offs), I been watching all these missions since STS-1 but my nearly 40 year old memory is going ;) and I can't remember when this last happened, anyone know?

Thanks again everyone, looking forward to STS-125/Atlantis and seeing Hubble for the last time.

Richard
