We may have a good KU pass through TDRS-Z over the Indian Ocean on this pass, we shall see, KU during the ZOE is always hard to predict, 7 minutes to the ZOE, 31 minutes to sunrise.

PET is currently 5:01.

Both EV's are feeling good.  Mike is translating back to the NTA assembly to see if he can get those bolts un-torqued.

The CP 9 camera package is parked, power is off to it on the nadir location on P1, it is ready to be removed by the EVAers.

2 minutes to the ZOE, 25 minutes to sunrise.

Cool, we have KU through Z for a little while through the shuttle KU, we will probably only have Shuttle KU and shuttle views of the space walkers during this 12 minute ZOE pass. Station KU is not available right now through Z.

Mike Fossum is working with the failed camera.

Great news from MCC-H.  All four capture latches are reported good on Kibo's CBM, and they are GO for JPL relocation!

Mike Fossum is working on locking down the Pan/Tilt function of the camera before removing, and it is complete:

We should have KU through shuttle KU at least until around sunrise in about 13 minutes, and then after a short KU handover to West, station KU should resume after sunrise. 1 minute to West coverage, leaving the ZOE.

PET now around 5:20

I forgot to add that the current KU is through Z, we are in West comm coverage now, but we are not direct line in sight to West for high speed KU comm. Complex is passing well southwest of Australia now, 8 minutes to sunrise.

In case anyone is interested in what my 'secret' is for doing this, I just use a satellite tracking program like Orbitron, the daily flight execute package from NASA JSC for STS KU coverage and a ruler to measure the time periods of the orbital tracking.

Station KU has resumed through either Z or West, 4 minutes to sunrise.

The camera CP 9 is now removed from the nadir side of P1 to be replaced, I believe.

1 minute to sunrise.

You may be interested in knowing that if you put your finger on the orbit track in Orbitron, the complex will move through the width of your finger in about 3 - 4 minutes, that is how I use a ruler to estimate the comm period times, just FYI.

We are now on Station KU through West I believe, complex is now moving well south of New Zealand, PET now 5:30, 40 minutes to East coverage, 52 minutes to sunset.
